Caring For The Creative Soul
ARTDOCS provides healthcare services to full-time artists in the New Orleans area who are uninsured or under-insured and whose income falls below twice the 2010 federal poverty level ($10,830/year). This means any uninsured artist in New Orleans who lives alone and currently earns less than $21,660 qualifies for the program. ARTDOCS will cover 100% of the cost of medical office visits with a family physician, including any associated diagnostic/lab fees and in-office procedures.
All of our patient medical care is coordinated by a single provider at a single location: the Daughters of the Charity St. Cecelia Medical Center at 1030 Lesseps street in the Bywater neighborhood. More information about the clinic can be found here.
Our new dental services use the same eligibility criteria, but are not comprehensive. Inquiries about specific procedures and financial discounts can be answered by personnel at either of the Daughters of Charity Clinics (Bywater or Carrollton locations).
